VIP Plus anywhere

Like the specific place VIP Plus courses this is a complete package, including training, and most other items. Normally it will not include flights, as there are often restrictions or additional cost involved in selling these. We can if you like research the costs and services and sort out where you can purchase them from for you.

With VIP Plus anywhere, you can decide either where you would like to go or a subject or topic and we can come up with options. In most cases once we have agreed a target place, we will search out either a local guide or someone with local knowledge to help us to put the desired package together. We already have contacts for some places.

With VIP Plus anywhere, unless you ask us to, we won't visit locations ahead, but rely upon the information coming from the local contacts and published information. This means that in most cases we are going to be seeing these places together for the first time.

You can select to have some days set aside for training, combine it into all days or undertake some training in the UK or on route ahead of arriving.

There are a few places we cannot go, these include any war zone, anywhere we would not be able to safely carry and use cameras, and anywhere which is beyond the scope of your or our fitness levels. If in doubt please ask. If you want to do more than we can do, we may be able to support you up to a  point and then allow you to undertake some parts without us, or jump ahead to meet you at the next place.

Usually we will involve a guide, and maybe an interpreter. Where there is a lot of driving in difficult situations we will often use a local driver.

We can put a fixed price package together if you like or we can work out the component parts and you can pay these as they arise, allowing perhaps more flexibility. The payment for our time and return air fares  has to be paid in this country well ahead of departure. You cannot usually pay us for anything once we are abroad, as doing this would often constitute 'working' in that country and be outside the visas or entry stipulations. Often we will be working with a local guide and/or travel company that can undertake other things for you.

The concept behind most visas is to stop people entering the country that become a drain on state funds, or who would take work away from locals. We technically come as your companion, and the time has been paid for within the UK ahead of departure. Nothing that we do in a country takes work away from the locals and usually if we were not there, the client would not be either, so by coming at least two tourists (you and us) are buying services in the local economy.

How you pay for this service

You are paying for us to research and put this together, we can do this quicker than you could as we have information already sourced and have other contacts. In addition we can usually arrange things cheaper then you could. We don't take commissions, or where they are available we deduct these from the price.

Once we have the package together and you are happy with it we will get a budget worked out and approved by you, then arrange for all the bookings to be made, again you are paying for the time involved as well as all the costs incurred. But we can give you a schedule and you can make the bookings if you like.

We do not include our time used in transit between this country and where the training is taking place or the return journey, or our visa, medical insurance or any injections or medical needs we may need to cover. We also don't charge on any publications, books or maps that we need to obtain. The hours that are charged are the expected hours that we are with you in the day, this includes meal times but not sleeping or resting times, typically you could say we are with you 10 hours a day. We are often with you in practice more hours than we estimate and charge.  All of these uncharged for time and costs replace what would normally be a volume discount.

With specific place VIP Plus courses like the one in Ghana, all the pre work has already been done and the pricing is based only on the essential time used within the country. This therefore works out cheaper than the VIP anywhere equivalent.

Our time is charged at our standard rate of £57 per hour.

To book this service

Discuss your requirements informally first if you like, we should be able to advise you on the likelihood of being able to meet your requirements, without doing any research or making any charge to you.

We ask that you prepay for 10 hours, this is £570. Once this is received we can do the research and discuss options or put a proposal forward.

This 10 hours will most likely get fully used up by the time we have contacted several people, maybe spoken on the phone, sourced reference information online and in books, while discussing options with you, and then identifying a reliable local provider to work with, and sourcing prices etc. If it takes longer due to your requirements then this extra time is chargeable. We will often take longer due to our own interest, for example reading guide books, then this time is not charged to you.

Getting an accurate budget can often be difficult, but we should be able to make fairly good estimates of missing information.

Beyond this you can decide to pay us for the time we are going to use plus our return air ticket and to pay each of the other costs yourself, or we can undertake the entire task for you either on a fixed price or at actual costs.
